I would love to be able to sell (NOT return for a refund) items I bought from an NPC for xmog without having to hold onto it for 2 in-game hours

Why can't we get a 3rd prompt when trying to sell back gear we bought from a vendor for transmog? Or at the very least, make that 2 hour timer tick while not logged onto that character.It just seems so weird that there's no way to get rid of this gear without just destroying it. I know it's not a ton of gold to sell it back, but it helps offset some of the initial cost.
