What happened to my mount?

I started playing WoW recently so I don't know much about the game. About five minutes ago, there was a bear attacking me while I was on my mount. So I got off my mount by clicking the mount icon, then I killed a few bears, then when I was about to get on my mount again, I noticed that the icon disappeared. I then checked in my inventory, and there was no mount icon.I may have dragged the icon of of the action bar, but honestly have no idea.So how would I get my mount back? Im a level 22 Dark Elf in Alliance.
