Tonight, I felt like a real tank.

We were facing Trillax. It was past 2 am PST, and the raid was getting impatient. The other tank, a prot pally, did a non-dbm pull without warning that led to an awkward wipe. Tempers were on edge as we waited for one of the new dps replacement to show up.2min in, the prot pally rage pulls; this time no one joins the fight and RL takes him off the raid.It seems like we are about to disband. Morale is low."Guys, let's do 1/4/8. I can solo this. Keep me healed."There was considerable reluctance, but a ready check showed everyone on board. One of the dps switched to heals. I started the dbm count. 10...9...8...It was Prot Warrior versus Trillax. There was no other tank to rely on; I was the lone wall that kept the mechanical mayhem at bay. A bastion, weathering blow after blow, as my healers kept me well healed. From behind the castlements, the dps rained vengeance on Trillax. The last 30% was a little nerve-wracking, but finally the boss went down. It felt surreal. I understand that I am very high ilvl for Normal NH, but this was certainly a leap of faith for me.WoW hasn't felt this good in a while. And given how this is Teeming+Skittish week, I definitely needed the experience and am grateful for it.A little screenshot for the road.
