I thought I would make a list of the longest-running WoW Expansions to date:Mists of Pandaria -- 2 years 1 month 19 days (779 days)Wrath of the Lich King -- 2 years 24 days (754 days)Legion -- 1 year 11 months 15 days (714 days)Battle for Azeroth -- 1 year 10 months 16 days (686 days)Burning Crusade -- 1 year 9 months 28 days (667 days)Cataclysm -- 1 year 9 months 18 days (658 days)Warlords of Draenor -- 1 year 9 months 17 days (656 days)Shadowlands -- TBDBfA passed BC on June 11, 2020; to take the Number 4 spot.BfA will pass Legion on July 30, 2020; to take the Number 3 spot.BfA will pass Wrath on September 8, 2020; to take the Number 2 spot.BfA will pass Mists on October 4, 2020; to take the Number 1 spot.I was bored one night to get all these times calculated. I found it quite interesting as several people believed Cataclysm was one of the longest expansions when it is actually one of the shortest.
