Every new raid since Tomb of Sargeras has been getting more melee unfriendly. Blizzard, it's time to rethink the raid design.


Since late Legion, Tomb of Sargeras to be precise, every single raid has been getting more anti-melee. This problem has become an even bigger issue in BFA. The raids seems to be designed for multidotting class. Not every raid boss, but a good amount of them.In Uldir; Fetid, Mythraxx and Ghuun was literally "less melees you have, faster you gonna kill it". Mythrax was actually "impossible" without Warlock stack. Other bosses were also heavily favouring RDPS, but not as much.In BoD; I think only Jaina is a fight where you can run equal amount of melee and rdps and not hurt urself by doing it.In CoS; Well, now we see the pinnacle of the problem I am trying to describe. Only 1 melee - DH (excluding tanks) that is here ONLY to give 5% magic damage buff.The disproportion between melee and rdps is getting bigger and bigger every single raid. Sure, a "normal" mythic raiding guild will not care about it, but it really hurts entire raid group if you bring too many melees at this point. The encounters are designed in a way that the more multidotting rdps you bring the easier time you gonna have. This is in my opinion really bad habbit and Blizzard should definitely pay attention to this for future raids.Also the mechanic that most top rdps classes have (priest,warlock,shaman) that by multidotting they increase their ST damage output is making it even worse. There is too much AoE cleave (long range especially) and too little AoE burst scenarios for melee to shine. If this trend continues, we will not be seeing too many melee, even in semi-hardcore guilds.Even people from Method, Limit and other top guilds said the same thing: Mythic Cabal (1st boss on CoS) is impossible to do without certain comp that is shadowpriest/warlock/ele stack.As a fellow melee player, it really makes me not want to play my class because I feel like I am dragging my raid group down just because I am here.For the love of god, stop making raids so melee unfriendly, Blizzard.
