Why does changing your character's race cost more than the monthly subscription to play the game.

Seriously, sometimes people make a character and after a couple of years you get tired of the way they look and you just want to change it up. Not saying it should be free, i understand it's a business and Blizz wants to make money but come on, $25 USD? A little much for a simple race change.
