Legendary Crafting PSAs

I’ve been seeing a lot of frustration and misinformation about legendaries in 9.1, so I wanted to spread some useful information that hopefully helps inform decisions and emotions going into the new patch.You >do not< need to craft your legendary at rank 4 in a new item slot to avoid conflicting with domination slots. When you are crafting your first R5/6 legendary, you can just craft it on the new slot without ever crafting the lower ranks. >Do not< waste your time and money crafting these legendaries before 9.1 at rank 4.“But I still need the Soul Ash to craft ranks 1-4!” Yes, but Soul Ash is not going to be really any barrier at all in 9.1. You are going to get flooded with tons of Soul Ash while doing the new Torghast content to collect Soul Cinders to the point that this is exceedingly unlikely to be a concern. Remember that there is no longer a timegate on Soul Ash in 9.1, so even if you don’t naturally get enough to craft every legendary you want you can farm Soul Ash to your heart’s content (and much quicker than in 9.0).“But crafting legendaries is expensive!” Yes, but you will be buying new legendary base items to craft rank 5/6 legendaries anyway. If you don’t min/max your character enough to craft the new rank legendaries then potentially having 1 fewer domination sockets is far from something you need to concern yourself with.I hope this helps clear up some confusion.
