​Warcraft Radio: The Legend ReturnsYes, you read that title correctly! Warcraft Radio is taking to the air waves once again! Down below is a whole slate of information, and we’re super excited to tell you all about it. However we feel it’s important to touch base with you, and get a little sentimental with a few (well, many) words from Athalus, Founder of Warcraft Radio:“This has been a long time coming, and I am overjoyed to announce to you that Warcraft Radio will be relaunching in the very near future on August 18th. 15 years ago I started WoW Radio in my college townhome with a single show, "Saturday Nights with Athalus." and quickly grew into something much bigger with dozens of broadcasters and shows on the air. I never imagined how many of you would end up listening to our livestreams, but you and the community's incredible support in those years helped define my life and the lives of many of our show hosts and volunteers. Many of us, myself included, went on to have successful careers in video game development, radio broadcasting, voice acting, film and many other fields as a result of our time at WoW Radio. It was truly a life changing experience for everyone involved.Several months ago, chance, or perhaps fate, saw a number of former team members working on a project together and the nostalgia set in for us, and the idea of bringing back Warcraft Radio was floated around. At first it seemed like a longshot, water cooler talk if anything, however the sparks of that long doused flame were still undeniably there. After reaching out to some of our former team members I discovered that despite going on to have successful careers, families, and other interests many of us are still playing World of Warcraft and are eagerly awaiting WoW Classic.What happened next still amazes me. A gathering of old team members took place and the same level of passion and grit that was put forward those 10-15 years ago was again being put on display. Over the past few months the team behind Warcraft Radio have been working day in and day out preparing to bring you some of the best content imaginable for the Warcraft Universe. We’re all incredibly excited to start this journey once again, and even more excited for you to be joining us on that journey.” - Athalus, founder of Warcraft Radio.We have already announced a couple of shows - one new show, and one returning show on our website, with many more to be announced in the coming weeks.Additionally, some of you may remember that Warcraft Radio provided the highest quality of Blizzcon coverage in the community from 2005 - 2009. In 2005 we were the official video stream at Blizzcon, and in subsequent years we primarily worked with audio live streams and produced VODs. We are excited to announce that we will be returning to once again provide high quality coverage at Blizzcon this November.We are thrilled to have the permission of many of our original show hosts and content creators to publish their archives for your listening.
