Reminder that you are not being a good person if you take part in witch hunts, no matter what some people are accused of doing. Get your freaking act together on social media. Please show restraint.

I'm obviously not saying that we should accept sexism, misogyny or sexual harassment. Some of these reports are disturbing, and a lot of people need to face legal repercussions over this.But over the last couple of days, a lot of people are evidently finding it difficult to stay within the realm of reason.Someone appears in a picture or group chat, and all of a sudden people nail them to a freaking cross.I know a lot of this stuff looks shady as hell from our point of view, in 2021. But please remember that we humans are really primitive beings. It's easy to go from "Person A literally assaulted somebody, this needs to be investigated" to "Person B was in a nearby location, burn him!"Please take a chill pill when it comes to people who haven't actually been shown to commit any crimes. Otherwise best case scenario, you might feel a little silly afterwards when it turned out that they were innocent. Worst case scenario, you might cost somebody their career or family, or drive them towards self harm.
