Blizzard's logic on Azerite traits is inherently fucked.

So, according to Blizzard: "Regarding targeting specific traits: I think we've said this a few times now, but just to reiterate, we believe that's merely a symptom of the imbalance between traits. Ideally, the gap between them isn't so large that you feel it would be hugely beneficial to grind out the perfect set."But traits are supposed to be interesting, they're supposed to change the way you play the game, so they can't be just numbers. There are a few interesting traits, like the shaman trait that heals you while in ghost wolf and the warrior trait that adds a seismic wave to overpower. And these traits cannot be compared in just numbers - if an enhancement shaman wants to compensate in PVP for how easily targeted he is by stacking the ghost wolf trait and activating ghost wolf whenever he's targeted, there is no alternative. He needs three sets of that trait.Apparently, the goal is to get the numbers close enough that it doesn't really matter which traits you have, so it doesn't matter that you can't farm the gear you want - and if that's the case, why is the Azerite system in the game at all? Why not just have regular numbers on our chest, head and shoulder?Either the system is entirely just passive numbers that don't change our gameplay at all so farming specific pieces doesn't matter, or they do change our gameplay so we need ways to target specific traits. It's either one or the other, and I don't understand how Blizzard isn't seeing the logical disconnect in claiming that the traits matter but the ability to get the traits we want doesn't.
